Located up a flight of stairs on the first floor, above reception, the Tulbagh Travelers Lodge offers guests two classic apartments with single and double beds in both twin and triple configurations. Clean and Convenient, the period decorated apartments have spacious rooms with pleasantly unexpected creature comforts.
Breakfast is a treat, served downstairs in the main house on antique crockery and is available at an extra cost of R100 per person.

This funky Art Deco apartment features an open plan living area with a comfortable lounge and full kitchen for self-catering in Tulbagh. The super funky 1930’s lounge furniture and 1950’s kitchen are classic and have been lovingly collected & curated for visual impact. The apartment has two double bedrooms and bathrooms which for privacy reasons, is not rented separately.
The kitchen is kitted out for full self catering with a retro full height fridge freezer, four plate gas hob and oven, convection microwave, kettle, toaster and all the paraphernalia required to prepare most family meals. The kitchen table doubles as a work station where one can settle with a laptop and enjoy the free WiFi. You will find all the ingredients that you need to prepare a light complimentary breakfast in the food jars.
This open plan studio-apartment has a double bed and an extra single bed so sleeps three adults or a small family comfortably. The super funky retro 1930’s and 1950’s furniture are all classics and have been lovingly collected over the years.
The kitchenette is kitted out for self catering with a medium height fridge freezer, double hot plate, convection microwave and all the paraphernalia required to prepare simple meals. The large kitchen table is perfect for enjoying meals or working with a laptop. The kitchenette is also stocked with coffee, tea and sugar.

Equipped with a book and a glass of wine, it’s tempting to spend the entire day there. The braai/BBQ is beautifully built out of local stone and may be used freely by guests.
Beautiful gardens lead through to shady courtyard spaces and calm sitting areas. Inspired by a dry river bed, our back garden is planted with Buchu, Restio and other indigenous plants. The garden is a haven for birds and attracts over 15 species, including the Cape Hummingbird and Cape Robin.
