HISTORIC TULBAGH WALKING TOUR
Every Sunday at 11am R50 per person including the museum charges.
Join our local historian and heritage activist, Jayson Clark for a 90 minutes tour of historic Church street and explore some of the interiors of many of Tulbaghs heritage buildings and 19th centaury streetscape. The story tells the history of Tulbagh as an outpost of the Cape Colony, through the age of pioneers and colonists as well as the development of the Cape vernacular architectural style. Special attention is given to the earthquake and subsequent restoration of the 32 National Monuments and in the street.

Full and half day toursThe following is the itinerary for the full day tour:
The tour starts at historic Twee Jong Gezellen where you will experience an underground champagne cellar tour and tasting.
Next a visit to Saronsburg to sample their world class wine and enjoy their award winning contemporary architecture and impressive South African modern art collection.
After lunch the tour takes you to the Old Drosdty Museum, home of Drosdty Wines where you'll enjoy an underground wine tasting by candlelight.
No visit to the Tulbagh valley is complete without a visit to Moniqui Choclatier, a beautiful farm with outstanding views, beaten only by the uniqueness and quality of her homemade chocolates.
